Hide your name in Kwieb

Kwieb is a parent app designed for school communities. Parents use Kwieb to receive information and interact with the school or school team regarding their child. At the same time, Kwieb also supports social interaction between parents whose children attend the same school—such as signing up on lists or replying to group messages.

Many parents also use Kwieb to connect with other parents. For example, within your child’s group, you can view the parents of other children. Since people often know the names of their child’s classmates but not their parents, Kwieb displays “parent of [child’s name]” alongside parent profiles.

Depending on each parent's privacy settings, you may also see their name and phone number.

How is your name currently displayed in Kwieb?

  1. Open the Kwieb app.

  2. Tap your profile photo (or initials) in the top left.

  3. Tap Privacy.

There you can see how your name and relationship to your child are shown to other parents in Kwieb.

Hide your name

From the same screen, you can change your visibility setting to “Hidden”.

Once you activate this option:

  • Your name

  • Your profile photo

  • Your relationship to your child

...will no longer be visible to other parents in the Kwieb app.

⚠️ Note: When you set your name to Hidden, you will lose access to certain features related to parent-to-parent interaction. Learn more about which functions are disabled such as:

  • Commenting on posts
