Reporting an Absence in Kwieb
With the Kwieb parent app, you can easily report your child’s absence to the school. This support article explains how to do so step by step.
Note: The school can choose to disable the “absence reporting” feature. If you do not see this option in Kwieb, please contact your school for more information.
1. Tap the Plus Button
In the bottom menu of the Kwieb app, tap the plus (+) button.
Select “Report absence”.
2. Select Your Child
Choose the child for whom you want to report the absence.
3. Choose the Type of Absence
Select the reason why your child is absent.
Then, specify the “Duration of absence”.

Tip: Don’t see all the listed reasons? The school decides which options are available.
Tip: Based on your selected reason, follow-up questions may appear. For example, if you choose “specialist”, you’ll be asked to select a date and time—handy for planning an appointment in advance.
4. Add a Comment (If Required)
The school may require a comment. Enter any relevant details the school might need.
Tap the green “Report absence” button to submit the notification.
5. Confirmation
Once the absence has been successfully saved, you will see a green message at the top of the timeline: “Absence has been successfully processed”.
6. Teachers and Admins Are Notified
Once submitted, your child’s teachers and the school administration will be automatically informed of the absence.
7. View Absences from Your Profile
Go to your profile and tap on your child under “Your children”.
Then select “Absences” to view:

Future absences
Absence history
